Symptoms of Acne
There are two main types of acne - Non - Inflammatory and Inflammatory.
In Non-Inflammatory Acne, there are a less number of whiteheads and blackheads on the face. It is a mild type of acne. Majority of people suffer from this type of acne.
In Inflammatory Acne, the whiteheads become inflamed, and there is the formation of red pimples. In its most severe form, inflammatory acne can cause disfiguring cysts and deep, pitting scars of the face, neck, back, chest and groin. Prescription drugs and sometimes surgery are needed to treat inflammatory acne.
Some of the Common Symptoms of acne are:
- Whiteheads.
- Blackheads.
- Pustules.
- Cyst.
- Pus-filled lesions that may be painful.
- Nodules (solid, raised bumps).
