Symptoms for Arthritis
Arthritis is a term that includes a group of disorders that affect your joints and muscles. Surrounding each joint is a protective capsule holding a lubricating fluid to aid in motion. Cartilage, a slippery smooth substance, covers most joints to assure an even, fluid motion of the joint. With joint arthritis, the cartilage may be damaged, narrowed and lost by a degenerative process or by inflammation making movement painful.
Some of the Common symptoms for Arthritis are:
- Joint pain - The person may experience problem in walking or standing due to the joint pain. Joint pain may also be accompanied with joint stiffness, inability to move the joint freely, and joint swelling.
- Swelling - The person suffering from arthritis may have swelling around the skin of joints and it may be red, puffed up, hot, throbbing, or painful to the touch.
- Pain or tenderness in a joint which is aggravated by movement or activity.
- Unexplained Weight Loss.
- Extreme fatigue, lack of energy, weakness, or a feeling of malaise.
- Non-specific fever.
- Spinal stiffness in the morning such as after getting out of bed or after activity.
Often this pain decreases with rest.
- Pain, tenderness or numbness in the neck.
- A crunching feeling or sound of bone rubbing on bone.
- Weakness or numbness in legs or arms.
- Limited range of motion, difficulty in bending or walking.
- Spinal Deformity.
Some Other Symptoms may be:
- Flu-like symptoms.
- Lower Extremity Rash.
- Nodules.
