Signs and Symptoms for Coronary Heart Disease
The most common symptom of coronary artery disease is angina or "angina pectoris". It is also known as chest discomfort, that can be experienced as a pressure, squeezing, burning or heaviness sensation. Angina is mostly felt in the center of the chest or just beneath the sternum (breastbone), but may also be felt in the left shoulder, arms, neck, throat, jaw or back. Angina is classified into two types: Stable and Unstable Angina. Stable Angina: It may occur with increased exertion or extreme emotion, or following a large meal.
