Epilepsy is a neurological problem. It means that brain is affected very badly in this disorder. In this disorder all or some parts of the brain can get affected. Generally, temporal, frontal lobe or occipital areas of the brain are affected in this disorder. Approximately 40 types of seizures can occur in a patient. Clonic Seizures In this type of seizure the person can loose complete control from the body and thus can fall on the ground. Tonic seizures In this type of seizure the sufferer looses complete control from the body. Atonic seizures In this type of the seizure the muscle movement becomes floppy, due to which you can fall forward on the ground. Nocturnal seizures The effects of this seizure can be viewed in the sufferer during the day as well as the night while sleeping. Myoclonic seizures This type of a seizure attack occurs mainly in the afternoon or in the evening. The patients tend to suffer from shivering of the body.
