Treatment and Cures of Gallstones Disorder
Surgical Treatment:If you are suffering from gallstone disorder but not showing the associated symptoms then there is no need of any kind of treatment but if you are showing signs of severe and painful attacks and other symptoms then you need medical treatment. Cholecystectomy is one such surgical treatment for gallstones in which removal of gallbladder takes place Gallbladder is a useless organ and its absence has no effect on body. Most of the patients suffering from gallstone disorder are treated from this type of surgical treatment. The technique used in this treatment is known as laparoscopy. In this technique very tiny holes are made in the abdomen of patient. After that a mini video camera and laparoscope is inserted through these holes. The camera helps the surgeon to take close view of organs and tissues inside the body. All these views are generated on video monitor. It also helps the surgeon in careful separation of gall bladder with other body organs such as bile ducts and liver. After separating gallbladder from other body organs it is taken out from one of the holes. The main advantage with laparoscopic surgery is that the person can resume on his work after two to three days of rest because the abdominal muscles are not cut during the surgery so recovery is very fast. The operation is painless as well. This treatment is better than the open abdominal surgery in which 8 to 10 incisions are made for removal of gall bladder. The risk involved in laparoscopic surgery is the harm to bile ducts which can result in the infection of ducts. If infection is not severe then it can be treated easily with oral medicines but if infection is severe then surgery of the bile ducts is required. Non Surgical Treatments:In these treatments oral medicines are prescribed to patients to get rid of gallstones. These drugs can be given to the patient in two ways : Oral Dissolution Treatment: In this method drugs prepared from bile acids are given to patients in the form of pills and capsules to dissolve stones. Contact Dissolution Treatment: In this treatment a drug is directly injected in the gallbladder to remove or dissolve the stone.
