Symptoms of Hives (Urticaria)
Most Common Signs and Symptoms of Hives are:
- Swelling of the surface of the skin into red with clearly defined edges.
- Welts (bumps on skin) commonly last about 24 hours.
- Angioedema may also occur with hives - the symptoms of angioedema include:
- Swollen face.
- Lip swelling.
- Tongue swelling.
If these symptoms occur, you must get immediate medical cure, otherwise you may develop anaphylaxis, a life-threatening condition.
- Weals come and go on the skin and also keep on changing quickly in shape, size and location.
- Difficulty in routine activity:You may find difficulty in breathing and swallowing. Your level of anxiety increases which causes rapid and irregular heart beat. You may even suffer from loss of consciousness, dizziness or faintness.
