Causes

When precipitating and contributory cause has been determined, it is called Primary hypertension and if the cause of high blood pressure has not been located, it is called 'Essential Hypertension. It may cause due to the use of alcohol, drugs, fatty and rich food or use of salt and spices, use of tobacco in any form.

If it is ignored, it may result in heart attack, kidney damage, psychic upsets, cerebral haemorrhage or even paralysis or death.

Symptoms of High blood pressure or hypertension -

Malfunctioning kidneys and urinary infections
Inability to sleep well
Hardening of blood vessels (arteries) due to fat formation on the higher side
Palpitations, giddiness and weakness
Impairment of digestion, restlessness coupled with anxiety, fear, psychic upsets, sudden shocks, losses etc
Blurred vision, red eyes (or blood shot eyes) flickering before eyes or darkness
Socio-economic, job-related, family and personal problems stress
Chronic constipation, headache, throbbing and pulsation in the temples
