Causes and Symptoms of Pleurisy or Pleuritis
Pleurisy or Pleuritis is a disorder, in which the inflammation in the pleura membrane occurs, that acts as an envelope for the lungs. The patients generally complain of chest pain in this disorder.
Causes
The main cause of this disorder is:
Infections: Viral, fungus, bacteria, parasites are responsible for the occurrence of pleurisy. These can cause the infection in the chest due to which the inflammation of the chest occurs and the person suffers from chest pain.
Symptoms of Pleurisy
The generally observed symptoms of pleurisy are:
Pain: Generally pain is felt in the chest during this disorder. When a person inhales or exhales he feels the pain. When the person stops breathing the pain gets reduced in the meanwhile.
